Ph.D. CANDIDATE, UNDER SUPERVISED PRACTICE
Precilia Hanan is a Psychology PhD candidate at l’Université du Québec à Montréal, specializing in a cognitive-behavioral approach with young children and teens. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at McGill University and has gained valuable experience through her academic career, training her both as a researcher and practitioner in the field. Moreover, Precilia has worked in various research laboratories, clinical settings, school settings, community organizations, as well as private practice.
Hence, Precilia is also a specialized education technician for the English Montreal School Board (EMSB) where she has worked with teenagers who presented various behavioral and cognitive difficulties. Precilia believes that being able to empathize, understand and build a strong foundation with her clients are key to successful therapy. Finally, she firmly believes that we can all, with no exception, grow to become the best version of ourselves with the appropriate support and guidance
