PRECILIA HANAN, B.A.

Senior PH.D. Candidate, Under Supervised Practice

Precilia Hanan is a doctoral candidate in psychology and the lead for psycholegal and psychosocial services at Grey Zone Psychology and Wellness Centre. She is currently working as a psychosocial expert under supervised practice for the CIUSSS du Centre-Sud-de-l’île-de-Montréal (service de médiation à la famille et d’expertise psychosociale), where she works with children, adolescents, and families navigating complex behavioural, emotional, and legal challenges.

At Grey Zone, Precilia provides a range of services, including individual and family therapy, court-involved interventions, and psychological evaluations. She specializes in both psychosocial and psycholegal expertise as well as psychoeducational assessments, helping to clarify learning profiles, attentional and executive functioning difficulties, and school-based support needs. Her assessments are particularly valuable in cases involving school difficulties, behavioural concerns, trauma, custody, and parenting capacity.

Precilia has a strong clinical focus on adolescents with emotional and behavioural issues and is trained in DBT-informed interventions. She facilitates both individual and group sessions that target emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and relationship skills for youth and their families. Her work is rooted in a trauma-informed, developmentally sensitive approach that bridges clinical care with legal and systemic understanding. Precilia is passionate about offering accessible, structured, and evidence-based support to individuals and families in high-stress or high-conflict situations.
