Fanny recently completed a year-long internship providing counselling services to cancer patients and their caregivers. She had previously completed an internship with university students, and went on to work as a high school counsellor, providing mental health and career counselling to adolescents from 12 to 17 years old. She worked with a variety of issues including but not limited to anxiety, depression, fear of dying, survivor’s guilt, relationship issues (with partners, parents, and friends) substance abuse, and gender and sexuality issues.

Fanny believes that the bond between a client and their therapist is one of the main factors of therapeutic change and her focus is on building trust and providing a safe space within the boundaries of the therapeutic relationship. She believes clients have an innate capacity for change within them, and she would like to be able to work with clients collaboratively to help them find the tools to navigate through and enrich their life. Fanny has a strong interest in Mindfulness, Client-Centered therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and she is getting training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
