Ilana Lichtman is a licensed counsellor with the Ordre des Conseillers et Conseillères d’Orientation du Quebec (OCCOQ). Ilana holds a Master’s of Education in Counselling Psychology degree from the University of Ottawa and a Bachelor’s of Arts in Honours Psychology degree from Concordia University.Ilana strives to provide a safe, non-judgmental, and collaborative therapeutic space for her clients so that they can feel comfortable exploring difficult emotions, thoughts or feelings.

 

Through empathy and trust, she works to accompany her clients on their journey towards self-understanding and positive change. Ilana empowers her clients to tap into their strengths, develop resilience, and cultivate meaningful connections with themselves and others. Ilana works with older adolescents (16+) and young adults experiencing various concerns such as anxiety, depression, panic attacks, self-esteem, and relational issues. Ilana tailors her approach to each client based on their unique individual needs and therapeutic goals. Specifically, Ilana enjoys infusing her sessions with techniques from a cognitive behavioural and/ or mindfulness lens.

 

Additionally, Ilana works part-time as a school counsellor at a private elementary school in Montreal where she provides emotional support and counselling to school-aged children.
